ST9900 : Old Stone on Vine Hill

taken 16 years ago, near to Pamphill, Dorset, England

Old Stone on Vine Hill
Old Stone on Vine Hill
The old stone stands on a high bank at the Junction of
Vine Hill and Cowgrove Road. 2.5 feet projects
above ground. Its purpose is unknown, it may be a junction marker.
The matrix is micaceous and sparkles in the sunlight.
Vine Hill is very narrow and climbs to The Vine Inn.
