Rows 72 - 77

Row 72 (Haynes the Peruke Maker's Row aka Moore the Blacksmith's Row) ran from Hall Plain to Howard Street. One of its names refers to William Hayes, a wig maker who lived at the south-western corner of the row. The anchor smith Samuel Moore owned the property sometime later. The north side of this row was demolished but most of the buildings on its south side are still in place.

Row 73 (Fassett's Row) ran parallel with (immediately south of) Row 70 and linked Howard and King streets. It was demolished and overbuilt by the Victoria Arcade shopping centre, and the rears of shops now occupy the space where the row houses once stood. The row number can still be seen by the western entrance which is situated within the Arcade. A 19th century print in the Percy Trett collection shows tall houses on both sides of a narrow pebbled lane just wide enough for a horse-pulled troll cart to pass. The row was also known as Mayor Barker's Row, Cob's South Row, Pockock's Row, Last's Row, Aldred's Row, Barker's North Row, and Miller the Basket Maker's Row. CJ Palmer also mentions Boatswain Row and Call South Row.

Row 74 (Barker's South Row) ran from Howard Street to King Street and was named after Samuel Barker, mayor in 1800. Other names recorded for this row are Cobb's South Row, Peacock's Row and Aldred's Row. This row and Row 75 which ran parallel with it divided Regent ward from St George's ward. The division carried from Row 74 to Deneside and from Row 75 across Hall Quay to the River Yare.

Row 75 (Poppy's Row) linked Howard Street and Middlegate Street and the passage at its western end remains in place. Jonathan Poppy, a broker and auctioneer, lived in a house at the western end of the row.

Row 76 (Peers Row) ran from Middlegate Street to South Quay and would still seem to be mainly intact. At various times it was also known as Samuel Tolver's Row and Cory's Row. John Peers was a bailiff in the 15th century and Samuel Tolver, mayor in 1789, lived at the row's western end.
