A short stretch of line brings us to the coast at Doniford:

Doniford Halt

A new 'halt' constructed by WSR volunteers in 1986, incorporating components from closed GWR stations at Montacute and Cove.

Here, the line clings closely to the Bristol Channel, on its way the Watchet:

Watchet

Initially, the terminus of the West Somerset Railway. An important port in its day, it was also the terminus and HQ of the West Somerset Mineral Railway (which arrived in Watchet some years before the WSR).
