Sarn Gynfelyn from Aberystwyth
By Rudi Winter
A stroll up the Ceredigion coast path from Aberystwyth to Wallog, about half way to Borth. At Wallog, a narrow spit of pebbles stretches out into the bay for several hundred metres and extends further under water. It is a remnant of one of three glacial moraines in the northern half of Cardigan Bay. I had miscalculated the tide and arrived some time after low tide, but as the tide had been rather low on this day, the water had only just reached the mean low water line marked on the map.
