        <description>This particular area had been recently cleared giving a panoramic view of Orchardton Bay with Hestan Island directly ahead in the distance. This forestry probably dates from the 1920s and is now reaching maturity for 'harvesting'. It is to be hoped that mixed planting will replace it. Mile-upon-mile of Sitka Spruce may make commercial sense but is not good news for wildlife or walkers.</description>
