Hello! I like your gallery :O) Here are some of my photographed places (which all seem not to fit into any category!) Freuchie = heathery place (Gaelic 'Fraochach') ![]() Falkland - ?possible connections with falconry have been made, from Old English 'Falca' (how about the Gaelic 'Falachd' = feud? .... just my suggestion, from rambling around in my Gaelic dictionary!) ![]() Coldstream = cold stream, apparently!! (There was no bridge until 1766) ![]() Cupar - possibly 'common land'.... Comphairt (Scottish Gaelic) = common pasture ![]() Kingskettle - possibly ' Ketil's point/head' Ceann (Scottish Gaelic) = head, + Ketil, Old Norse proper name ![]() Leven - probably 'Elm River' .....
