Geo-Trips :: Speyside Way - Blairfindy to Cragganmore

Speyside

A walk from Blairfindy, Mon, 12 Nov 2018 by Anne Burgess

preceding legThis trip is part of a series.

We set off from the point where we had finished the section from Tomintoul to Blairfindy, and walked over the Hill of Deskie to finish at Cragganmore on the main route of the Speyside Way. The route goes down through The Glenlivet Distillery, then steeply up past Deskie and out on to the moor. From the highest point there's a track gently descending to Auldich. Unfortunately the final two-and-half miles are on public roads, because no viable alternative path could be found.

Click the blue circles to see a photograph taken from that spot and read further information about the location. The blue lines indicate the direction of view. There is also a slideshow of this trip. ( )
