Hadrian's Wall Path

A walk from Lanercost, Thu, 30 May 2013 by David Purchase

preceding legThis trip is part of a series.next leg

A record of a ten-day walk along the Hadrian's Wall Path, from east to west, in May / June 2013.

This was the first Long Distance Path for which I attempted to get a continuous chain of photos, without gaps or diagonals. I failed in the centre of Newcastle (I have never been a 'city person'), but the chain is complete from NZ2163 to Bowness-on-Solway in NY2262. That is a 'straight-line' distance of almost exactly 100 km.

Some photos at the start of this set are slightly away from the Path.

Click the blue circles to see a photograph taken from that spot and read further information about the location. The blue lines indicate the direction of view. There is also a slideshow of this trip. ( )
