taken 16 years ago, 3 km from Ravenshead, Nottinghamshire, England

Underground Reservoir
Underground Reservoir
Underground Victorian reservoir which is being restored by volunteers from the Papplewick Pumping Station group:- LinkExternal link .
It was used to store water to feed Nottingham, but after springing a leak, it has been replaced by a modern structure built at the side of it. It is a "Must See" experience when visiting the site, and can only be accessed by guided tours.
