NS6735 : Anemometer mast on Dungavel Hill

taken 12 years ago, 5 km from Drumclog, South Lanarkshire, Great Britain

Anemometer mast on Dungavel Hill
Anemometer mast on Dungavel Hill
This mast has 5 anemometers (at differing heights) and a temperature gauge, plus what looks like a mobile phone antenna. It is presumably monitoring wind conditions for the E.ON UK's proposed Dungavel wind farm which will have 13 turbines (reduced in early 2008 from an initially proposed 18 turbines). It is not rigged to be a permanent structure!
