NT2373 : No longer Ale and 'earty at 'Aymarket

No longer Ale and 'earty at 'Aymarket
No longer Ale and 'earty at 'Aymarket
Yesterday, i.e., Saturday 15 March, the Caledonian Ale House served its last pints of ale. Today, Sunday morning, the Tennants sign has already disappeared from the end wall and one window on the street frontage has been partly boarded up, presumably broken during the previous evening's mourning party. It was deemed to stand in the way of Edinburgh's tram system, which will descend from street level in Haymarket Terrace into the former goods yard alongside and west of the railway part of which can be glimpsed at a lower level on the right.
