A selection of Edinburgh's icons seen from East Princes Street Gardens below Market Street: Jenner's department store in Princes Street (with the tower on the left), colourful open-top tourist buses and a blue double-decker on the Airport shuttle service on Waverley Bridge in the middle, and the Balmoral (formerly North British) Hotel on the right, still dominating the area as its former railway company owners intended it to do. And hiding down in the valley, the west end of Waverley station with newly reconstructed and refurbished platform awnings.
