Path to the Hermitage
Path to the Hermitage
This tunnel under the railway was built as part of the agreement by the Duke of Atholl and the Inverness and Perth Junction Railway when the Duke finally allowed the Railway to cross his land. Built in 1864, I imagine this tunnel was just part of the charm of a visit to the Hermitage for the Dukes guests.
