Road ahead subject to coastal erosion
Road ahead subject to coastal erosion
The road to old Kilnsea ends here - the village was lost to the sea. The new village was built on the west side of the parish some way to the west. The coast of Holderness, East Yorkshire has the highest rate of coastal erosion in Europe: 5 feet (1.5 metres) a year on average.
