Brickwork on Kilnsea beach
Brickwork on Kilnsea beach
The beach at Kilnsea is littered with the remains of structures from Godwin Battery, the wartime installation that protected the Humber from attack from the air. The circular structure top left is one of the concrete foundations for a gun emplacement which has fallen from the rapidly eroding clay cliffs.
