Omagh Academy Prep School

This started out as a fee paying preparatory school, but when parents realised that the preformance of pupils was as good at the state schools, numbers declined. There was also a snob element involved as it was believed that borderline results in the 11+ exam would enable preferable treatment when being considered for acceptance to the Academy Grammar School. In latter years it was used by the Technical College, but with the opening of the new College at Mountjoy Road, it is obsolete and now demolished. Link
