TQ0512 : We went right
near to Rackham, West Sussex, Great Britain

We went right
The path to the left (restricted byway 2873) goes past the southern end of the Iron Age earthworks of Rackham Banks, then on by Downs Farm to meet the junction of Mill Lane and High Titten. To the right (bridleway 2191/1) follows the north side of the conifer plantation to cross the South Downs Way (bridleway 2671) in a gap in the northern section of Rackham Banks and then on to meet Turnpike Road (B2139) near Rackham Street. The forestry is relatively new not being shown on the 1879 or 1940s OS maps. The finger posts were replaced shortly after - see TQ0512 : Which way?.
