Cloudy day in the South Downs

Looking towards South Stoke from the track that used to be the road between North Stoke and Burpham. The middle distance is filled with what were water meadows before the Arun was walled in by dykes. The dull conditions didn't stop the larks from singing which made it feel brighter than it was.
