SY6771 : West coast of the Isle of Portland
near to Weston, Dorset, Great Britain

West coast of the Isle of Portland
The cliffs in the distance are on the south-west side of the Blacknor headland. The exposed cliffs are of Portland Sand, topped with Portland Stone. Below the cliffs are landslides where stone collapses over Kimmeridge clay. Chesil Beach and the hills above Weymouth are visible in the far distance (on the left of the photo). This view is from the coast path close to the Old Higher Lighthouse.
