Eglwys Peulan Sant, Llanbeulan
Eglwys Peulan Sant, Llanbeulan
This is one of two churches in the Llanbeulan Parish - both gems and both no longer used on a regular basis. St Peulan was founded in 630 by Peulan, a brother of St Gwenfaen of Rhoscolyn - the Welsh saints liked to keep it in the family. The present nave dates back to the 12thC, and other parts of the church were added in the 14th and 16th centuries. The church is now in the care of the Friends of Friendless Churches, a charity which, in Wales, is grant aided by the Welsh Assembly Government's Cadw Historical Agency and by the Church in Wales.
