Flimby Colliery Ruins
Flimby Colliery Ruins
Little remains identifiable now of any of the pits in this woodland. The shafts have been capped, all lines and tramways removed and the majority of buildings completely demolished. What is left is very overgrown. This is the largest remaining structure, standing astride what was probably an old tramway. This particular pit was called Robin Hood.
