Oscillation ripples in the cliff-top, Blacknor
Slightly below the level of the cliff-top path is a layer of exposed rock showing fossilised ripples formed on an ancient sandy beach. This is just to the north-west of the Second World War lookout post at Blacknor, on the cliff edge. In the distance is Chesil Beach: the dark stripes are cloud shadows.
