Pepper Street Chapel
Pepper Street Chapel
The Methodist New Connexion Chapel in Pepper Street was opened in 1835 but it eventually closed after 1918. Subsequent building works enclosed this facade and it was hidden from view until 1984 when it was rediscovered. The facade was retained as the entrance to a furniture showroom, but the shop has now closed and once again its future is uncertain. There is a blue plaque near the left hand window - see SJ4066 : Blue plaque on the Pepper Street Chapel facade
