The parish church of Woodmancote is in the grounds of Woodmancote Place which indicates the fact that until the late 19th/early 20th century Woodmancote was more a parish than a village, it still feels it today having no real focal point and straggling along the A281. Much of the church was restored and rebuilt between 1869-73 though parts within date back to the 12th and 13th centuries. It was given its current dedication in 1886.
