Now it appears to be a training centre for Southmead Hospital, but originally this was Barton Regis Union Workhouse. This was the Master's house and the inscription reads "This Foundation Stone was laid by Her Grace The Dowager Duchess of Beaufort On the Eighteenth Day of September 1900"
