Tone Hall
Tone Hall
Tone Hall is a late 17th or early 18th century farmhouse. It is said to have been built on the site of a grange of Newminster Abbey. It has thick walls and may once have been fortified as a defence against reivers. The doors and windows were probably built in about 1800. There are also two 19th century extensions.
