The plaque on the front of the chapel tells us that it was built in 1712, rebuilt and enlarged in 1717, rebuilt and enlarged in 1774, rebuilt and enlarged in 1836, then renewed and improved in 1874. At the bottom, it's signed by O. R. Owen, Minister. He was a busy chap over the course of 160-odd years.
