NT3309 : Quarry, Aithouse Burn

taken 13 years ago, near to Craik, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Quarry, Aithouse Burn.
Quarry, Aithouse Burn.
There are miles of forest road within Craik. They are built with stone from quarries like this, no need to lug the raw material far. Stone from here was used to shore up the slopes down to the Aithouse Burn. The roads take a lot of punishment from fully laden timber trucks (and obese cyclists)
