NT3310 : Start-rite road

taken 13 years ago, 3 km from Craik, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

Start-rite road.
Start-rite road.
A chunk of the first growth still standing on Bald Hill giving the dreaded "start-rite" road. Fortunately I was on a bike, and given the winds today, the shelter, however dull was welcome.
The woods were unusual here for a factory plantation, as they were in orienteering terms "runnable". I doubt they will be standing much longer.
