NT3709 : Craik: tree eater

Craik: tree eater
Craik: tree eater
The days of chainsaws are over in the factory forests. Machines like this can quickly cut the tree and then strip the trunk of sprags and foliage. I once worked on restoring a woodland by de-sitkaing it with a hand saw and billhook. Taken from the Craik road, about as close as I ever want to get to one of these beasts.
