I guess this is the landing stage used to get across to the club - pretty much the only access to the club and the other buildings on the Clifton side of the river is by boat.
I was intrigued by the sign which could not be read as it had folded over I thought it might be a planning notice or such like. So I gingerly stepped-out on to the damp and treacherous-looking wood.
