A tributary stream and its valley
A tributary stream and its valley
[This is one of a series of images showing the landscape encountered on a journey between Murroch Burn and the ruins of Auchenreoch; this area is crossed by a succession of streams flowing west (these are all tributaries of the Murroch Burn) and their valleys, as well as some ruins.]

Shown here is the first of the tributary streams (only the larger streams are indicated on the 1:25000 map, and fewer again appear on the 1:50000 map); its valley is fairly wide and shallow.
