Leehouses
Leehouses
Trig pillar hiding in a gateway with a northerly view. At 200m this is still arable country, and about to be planted with Scotland's biggest arable crop, spring barley. In 2006, two years almost to the day a visit in dark conditions showed the field to be grass with a mixen ready to be spread on the land.

Mixen - similar word to midden, a pile of manure.
