Ballindalloch Castle
Originating in the 16th century the attractive central stair tower overtopped by a watchtower was added to the castle in 1602. There have been many later additions both externally & internally & this remains a most comfortable home for the Macpherson-Grant family. It is opened to the public during the summer months & on my visit some years ago the chatelaine was most welcoming. There are many fine trees in the surrounding estate in addition to a padigree herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle.
