Boats that pass on the right
When canal cruising it is a safe bet that a boat will come the opposite way just at a narrow bit like a bridge! Narrowboats "Duchess" and "Monarch of the Glen" pass adjacent to bridge 34A (canal numbering) over the Ashby Canal north of Sutton Cheney. The bridge once carried the Ashby & Nuneaton Joint Railway between those towns but now serves only as a footpath access from the canal towpath to the Bosworth Battlefield of 1485 and the rather more recent "Battlefield Line" that has preserved a section of the railway between Shenton and Shackerstone via Market Bosworth.
