24 x 1 6 external overshot waterwheel, say. Cast by ironfounders W Visick & Sons Devoran 1923. A late and elegant waterwheel noted the dished arms, narrower at the buckets than at the axle. Probably used to pump water to Carclew House, home of a branch of the Tremayne family, but destroyed by fire later in the century. Another branch of the family was at Heligan
