SU3811 : Marine Depot, Southampton Docks

Marine Depot, Southampton Docks
Wonky-looking travelling crane and interesting red tanker tied up at the point where the quayside turns through 90 degrees. Chris Allen tells me that the ship is the Margaret Hill, a 1974 tanker for liquefied natural gas that is stored in Moss spheres. It is steam powered from LNG that boils off the Moss spheres. See Chris's gallery of steam ships at Link
