Half in sunlight.
This is Battle of Britain Class Locomotive No.34072 '257 Squadron', awaiting a next turn of duty at Swanage Railway Station. Originally built in 1948 and withdrawn in 1964 it was sent to Barry Scrapyard to await the cutters torch. However, after many years wait it was reprieved and restored to working order and has spent more years in preservation than it did in British Railways service.
