"de facto" footpath from New England Wood to the Scrubs. Most of this square has now been purchased by Rochford District Council to provide an enhanced Cherry Orchard Jubilee Country Park and "official" public access along the length of the Roach proper. Perhaps a rerouting of the Roach Valley Way is now called for.
