Standing on a woody knoll above the surrounding countryside, St.Andrew's church is a wonderful Georgian box built with greenstone in 1753. There are bits of medieval masonry incorporated, some from an earlier church, some reputedly from the ruins of nearby Hagnaby Abbey. The Georgian interior has the mandatory box pews, two decker pulpit and altar rails, even the marble font is ingeniously built into a pew.
