18th August 2004 I was in Glen Ogle, ready to nip up Meall Buidhe in what at first looked like improving weather. However dark clouds to the south changed my mind and I headed home. Within an hour, a violent thunderstorm had deposited enough rain to wash out large areas of hillsides. Two burns turned to a boulder slurry and blocked in a number of cars on the road below.

Away from the road, other places were damaged too, this is a washout on the shepherd's track up on to Meall a'Mhadaidh.
