An Alresford bound train waits in the DOWN Platform with the first train of the day. The line was only 3.5 miles in length at the time this photo was taken. The driver is making some last minute checks with the oil can. The Locomotive is a Maunsell 'N' Class No.31874. The only one of this type to be saved from scrap, it is currently stopped awaiting a full overhaul.
