taken 19 years ago, near to Howick, Northumberland, England

Reconstructed Mesolithic round-house
Reconstructed Mesolithic round-house
Replica of a 10,000 year old round-house which was excavated from a nearby cliff-top site which had been discovered by the identification of flint artifacts in the eroding cliffs by amateur archaeologists.
A second reconstruction of the hut was made in 2002 on the Maelmin Heritage Trail near Wooler for the BBC TV programme, 'Meet the Ancestors'
