SK5479 : Scratta Wood

Scratta Wood
Scratta Wood
This hedgerow is effectively all that is left of the former Scratta Wood. Shortly after taking this photograph I spoke with a gentleman out walking and he suggested the wood was destroyed by the thousands of Starlings that used to occupy the wood. Apparently their droppings polluted the ground and killed the trees.
