Robin Friend is the name of an extensive exposed chalk layer which can be seen on the foreshore to the northwest of the lifeboat station > LinkExternal link. It forms a resistant shoal which is exposed at low spring tides. In this area and further to the east rare flint ammonites can occasionally be found exposed.
