Porth Lleuog and Porth Mawr at sundown
A late December sun sinks in the west, its rays diffused through thickening mist. Porth Lleuog, in the foreground, translates, oddly, as Lousy Gate, beyond the spit of land named Trwynhwrddyn (Ram's Nose)is Porth Mawr (Great Gate) better known as Whitesands. At 3.30pm there are still a fair number of people savouring the end of a beautiful winter's day.
