Level crossing at Shaw & Crompton
Beal Lane crosses the Oldham – Rochdale railway. On the far side of Beal Lane are Shaw & Crompton Station’s platforms and the footbridge over the railway. On the near side are the level crossing gates and the signal box. Much of this will become redundant when the railway is downgraded to a ‘tramlink’ in late 2009.
