Low sun over West Swale
The Swale is the stretch of water at the mouth of the river Medway which separates the Isle of Sheppey from the mainland. This channel, known as West Swale, lies between Queenborough and Deadman's Island (on the right), and the NE corner of Chetney Marshes. The channel is used by large ships delivering to industries near Ridham Dock. Water takes up about a third of this square.
