In the Shadow of Giants
Just below the bowl of Loch Uaine and the decision not to head up to the coll at lower right has been made. Carn Eigh is the slope to the right and Mam Sodhail the slope to the left - the 2 highest mountains north of the Great Glen.
We scrambled up the steep slopes of the Sgurr na Lapaich ridge ut of photo to the left coming out at the low point in this photo:-
