Abandoned building, Crawshaws
Abandoned building, Crawshaws
This brickbuilt building may be some kind of barn or byre or may have been an old cottage. On the map it seems to be called "Crawshaws" suggesting that it was a dwelling at some time.
[Edit Feb 2011 - I received the following interesting email from Dave Sproson]
Re the photo of the Crawshaws, there was a cottage on the site which at one time was lived in by my uncle & aunt, Fred & Maise Sproson. My uncle worked on a nearby farm. I used to visit the cottage in the early 50s when they were there. I believe their garden was just down the lane, still there but overgrown.
